St Peter's
nave, looking towards the chancel. In 1896 the church underwent a
major restoration. It was at this time that the south porch was added
and probably when a number of monumental tablets to the Tracy family,
by now headed by the Earl of Wemyss and March, were removed.
The interior
of St Peter's is notable for the absence of family monuments, bearing
in mind that a family of such significance, the Tracys, had lived
close by for over 400 years.
