Stanway
means a stony road. In the 12th century Stanway
was known as Stanwege.
To
travel by road to Stanway use the M5, and exit the motorway at Junction
9. Turn east on to the A435 for a couple of miles, and then turn
right on to the B4077 which will take you directly to Stanway.
