There
are not a great many commemorative wall plaques in St Mary the Virgin.
This one is in memory of men from Weston-on-the-Green who lost their
lives in the Second World War. Its inscription reads as follows:
This
tablet and the gates at the east end of the churchyard are erected
in memory of the men of this parish who fell in the Second Great
War 1939-1945
