Yet another
Austin gravestone, this one being for a William and Harriett Austin.
Its inscription reads thus:
In
affectionate remembrance of
William Austin
who died June 20th 1877
aged 45 years.
Also of
Harriett his wife
who died June 24th 1854
aged 20 years,
and was interred at
Middleton Cheney
Nearby,
just glimpsed to the left and behind the main gravestone in this photograph,
is another Austin gravestone for a John Austin who died 19th August
1821. The inscription is worn and hard to read, but there also appears
to be an Elizabeth, possibly his wife?, buried with him.
