Meriden
means a pleasant valley or valley where merry-making
takes place. In 1230 Meriden was known as Mereden.
There
are several options to travel by road to Meriden as it lies just
to the east of the M42, and south of the M6 and A45, with Coventry
a short distance to the east, in the corner formed by the M6 and
M42 motorways. One option is using the M6, turn south at Junction
4 on to the M42. At Junction 6 on the M42 turn east on to the A45
for a mile, and follow the signposts to Meriden.
