Chiddingstone
possibly means a stone associated with a man
called Cidd or Cidda. Around 1110 Chiddingstone was knwon as Cidingstane.
To
travel to Chiddingstone by road, use the M25. At Junction 5, which
intersects with the M26 and is the Sevenoaks exit, turn south on
to the A21. Stay on the A21 until you reach Leigh and turn right
on to the B2027. Just past Chiddingstone Causeway, look for signposts
on your left to Chiddingstone.
